The position will coordinate housekeeping (cleaning), pest control, internal plant and waste management services in the GU-Q building. He/She will liaise with Qatar Foundation (QF) General Services unit and contractors employed at GU-Q for such services.
As this position is based in Doha, Qatar and offers no relocation assistance, Georgetown University in Qatar is looking for locally based candidates only. This is a part-time (up to 25 hours per week), non-sponsored position that requires all applicants to already have the necessary sponsorship to live and work in Qatar.
In conjunction with QF, coordinate housekeeping/cleaning services both planned and reactive, ensuring no or very minimal interruption to the core university operations
Coordinate with the Associate Director for Building Operations Services and Security to address service-related concerns and/or pending/unresolved issues
Manage the cleaning team to ensure that the highest possible cleaning standards are kept
Manage helpdesk for housekeeping, waste management, recycling and plant requests
Monitor the activities of QF contractors performing work on GU Qatar premises in order to ensure safe work practices
Perform necessary service audits and spot checks
Participate in building walkthrough and/or safety inspections of GU-Q as required; ensure the implementation of necessary corrective actions.
High School Diploma (Bachelor's degree preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience in business management or business related activities dealing with customer service, preferably within housekeeping services
Exceptional attention to detail and strong customer service skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Good understanding of soft services within a Facilities Management
Previously demonstrated multi-tasking ability in a results-oriented environment
Ability to work with Microsoft Office, Helpdesk systems and other computer related software
Prior experience with a 5 star facility a strong asset
