Grafton Facilities Department is responsible for the maintenance of Tufts University's $100+ million investment in the Grafton Massachusetts campus. Tufts' Grafton campus consists of 585 acres and 49 buildings comprising 500,000 square feet of space used for education in veterinary medicine and other fields. The department supports 400 students and 550 employees on the Grafton campus and Woodstock, Connecticut campus. Grafton Facilities Services provides support services to a campus that operates 24/7.
Provide accounting and administrative support to the Director, Assistant Director and Grafton Campus facilities services team.
HS diploma or bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5-7 years accounting and administrative experience in an academic setting. Bookkeeping and basic accounting knowledge. Proficiency in MS office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
At least 10+ years' experience, with a working knowledge of Tufts University financial practices and software systems, including Maximo, PeopleSoft / Data Warehouse (pcard payments and reconciliations, E-reqs, payroll, etc), Empower. A working knowledge of Maximo (WO creation, reports, billing, uploads) and the Grafton campus. Good customer service and support.
Ability to work with frequent interruptions, including phones, walk-ins, radio and staff requests. Should value collaboration and teamwork, while retaining ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
