The Associate Patient Experience Representative will be responsible for:
Training in the collection, verification and recording of required information, obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments/ admissions and entering related information on hospital and departmental computer systems.
Training in answering, screening and routing telephone calls.
Training in customer service to provide our patients and families with the best care.
Performing general office support tasks including but not limited to: opening and sorting mail, ordering supplies, maintaining logs and records, preparing paperwork for clinic appointments, etc.
Greeting patients & families and directing them to kiosks to begin the appointment check-in process.
To qualify, you must have:
A High school level of educational development.
Analytical skills and judgment to interpret data and take appropriate action in circumstances that may vary.
Adaptability skills to work in a range of departments with varying processes.
Ability to contribute to a supportive team environment within and between other departments and organizations.
Strong attention to details with strong planning and organizational skills to prioritize and coordinate tasks appropriately.
Strong communication skills both orally and in writing and display empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
This position requires floating to the Waltham location and may require floating to additional satellite locations as needed.

The Associate Patient Experience Representative (aPER) Training Program is an exciting 40-hour a week, entry level opportunity to be trained on a frontline position. The program offers three full weeks of training in Epic (appointment scheduling system), PowerChart (electronic medical records database), and other hospital systems, as well as training in soft skills with an emphasis on empathy, customer service, and cultural competency. After successful completion of training, aPERs will work in ambulatory clinic areas as part of a float pool to provide help, as needed.
