DUTIES: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provides supervision of 340b Hospital Based and 340b Specialty Contract Pharmacy operations to include operation management of all 340B transactions. - Assures that the 340b transactions assignments are completed and that hospital based and specialty pharmacy compliance audits are up to date. - Reviews performance programs and evaluations with 340B individuals and forwards to the System Director of Pharmacy for final approval. - Reviews new information related to 340B. - Signs up for webinars hosted by Apexus, SNHPA and HRSA that are related to 340B and attended by entire 340B staff. - Monitors staff for adherence to all hospital and department policies, procedures and regulations. - Prepares for HRSA audit and annual mock audits and gathers and provides requested data prior to an audit. - Looks up 340B dispensations for accuracy during a HRSA audit or a mock audit. - Able to navigate through Allscripts, SentryDS Database and - Chartmaxx to investigate test dispensations. - Escorts auditors and consultants during a 340B audit. - Answers auditor questions and follows up on questions as needed. - Works with the System Director of Pharmacy Development to regularly review and submit updated 340B policies and procedures. - Defines actions to correct issues related to dispensation and purchase data in SentryDS that could affect 340B eligibility. - Works with hospital IMT to confirm that charge files that are built and extracted from Allscripts and sent to SentryDS contain the appropriate information that is needed for the 340B administration to process the data and remain compliant. (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE ABOVE POSITION DESCRIPTION) QUALIFICATIONS: QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration or Accountancy - Two (2) years of Pharmacy experience in either retail or hospital would be preferred. - Maps NDC, CDM and Location codes in SentryDS and review codes that are already mapped to confirm compliance and to also make sure that eligibility is not lost. - Reviews SentryDS software reports and report any areas where we are not maximizing on 340B benefits. - Reviews SentryDS software Virtual Inventory, Potential Savings and Diversion reports daily and looks for CDM and NDC outliers where we might be capturing too much or losing eligibility. - Creates and sends 340B drug spend reports to the Director of Pharmacy when they complete inventory for downtown and community campus pharmacies. - Investigates inventory pricing discrepancies by comparing wholesaler 340B purchase price with 340BVP price for that quarter. - Investigates all purchasing concerns when an order is processed in SentineIRCM. This can include investigating Price file discrepancies, CIN discrepancies, software downtime and delays, wholesaler-Sentry interface errors, etc. 340B software administrator and confirms that these configurations are the best options to achieve compliance as well as maximizing our benefit. - Exports charges and purchasing data into spreadsheets and tracks data for outliers and potential issues. - Utilizes and creates pivot tables to filter out and examine information feeding into Sentry that might be a compliance issue or where we might be losing savings. - Reaches out to Apexus PVP, Turnkey consultants, other 340B entities for any guidance on 340B practices.
