The Business Coordinator II, under general supervision, provides support and coordination of a variety of business activities requiring independent judgment, including reviewing business documents and assisting in developing, monitoring, and reporting accounts and budget data.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelorâ™s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of related experience in general office, accounting, or personnel operations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Interpersonal and communication skills.
Planning and organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Licenses and Certifications:
TAMU HR Liaison.
Salary Range: $36,512.00 - $46,924.80
Assists in managing departmental business and administrative operations, including Human Resources, personnel records management and auditing, hiring student workers, assisting in writing position descriptions and reclassifications, interfacing with TAMU HROE, and assisting hiring managers during the hiring process. Provides input and assists in developing departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Coordinates budget and accounting functions. Prepares documents and supporting documentation to accounting support staff. Reviews requests for office purchases and expenditures. Coordinates purchasing documentation and oversite for university procurement cards and other personnel-related matters.
Reviews and coordinates department-related travel in Concur, which includes making transportation and hotel arrangements, paying registration fees and, ensuring that all university rules and guidelines are followed. Prepares complex monthly and annual financial reports and assists in monitoring programs and services.
Assists with management of business and Human Resource activities including coordination of activities, training, and interpretation of policies and regulations for staff and student workers. Performs other duties as assigned.
