The Department of Spanish and Portuguese is seeking to appoint Lecturers in Spanish, beginning September 1, 2019 or later, with the possibility of renewal pending departmental need and satisfactory performance. Appointment duty time will depend upon course enrollments.
Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, and proven experience in teaching Spanish at the university level, are absolutely essential. Master's degree or enrollment in a Ph.D. program required; Ph.D. or M.A. working toward Ph.D. preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in Linguistics, SLA, or Applied Linguistics, although other fields will also be considered when there is evidence of sustained experience teaching Spanish at the university level.
