The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, (UT) invites applications and nominations for a Senior Financial Aid Specialist position in the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships. The Enrollment Management (EM) division comprises more than 150 full-time staff who serve our students through the following departments and functions: Undergraduate Admissions, International Recruitment, Transfer Center, One Stop Student Services, Financial Aid and Scholarships, University Registrar, EM Communications, and the Veterans Resource Center.
Duties/Responsibilities: The successful candidate works closely with the Assistant Director on the university-wide scholarship programs at UT, including institutional, external, and state scholarships. The candidate disseminates scholarship information to students and parents, and serves as a contact for UT colleges and various departments. They will send paper and electronic award notifications to recipients of institutional awards. Assist in certifying eligibility of state scholarships via the state online system. They will assist with the awarding and tracking of the numerous HOPE scholarship recipients at UT, including advising students and parents regarding the ongoing requirements for the state-sponsored HOPE scholarship. In addition the candidate will coordinate and assist in processing the institutional and state scholarship appeals.
