Northwestern University is seeking a Temporary Data Assistant for the Evanston campus.
Position: Temporary Data Assistant Hours: This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week/ 8:30am-5pm / M-F) Pay: $20.00 per hour Campus: Evanston Approximate start date: April 1, 2019 Approximate end date: July 31, 2019*

Temporary Job Description: The temporary Data Assistant position serves as the primary point of contact for internal database users, including students, employers, and staff. This position is necessary for the efficient operation because all constituency data is housed in a large relational database. The constituencies include all students (undergraduates and graduate students), alumni (upon request), employers of our school's students and graduates, as well as faculty advisors who work with our students. This position will also maintain our enrollment management process. Additionally, the temporary Data Assistant is required to provide database design/data structures, resource evaluation, use-case analysis, troubleshooting and workflow development & documentation.
A bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
Interpersonal skills: collaboration and teamwork, organizational skill and planning.
High level of organizational skills and attention to detail;
Critical thinking, decision making, judgment, and problem solving skills;
Experience working with statistics, data management, or database structures;
MS Office suite 2013 (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook).
Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
Preferred Software Required:
Cognos BI, Instructure Canvas, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (SES), Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Microsoft Office (especially Access and Excel), database design/data structures, resource evaluation, use-case analysis, troubleshooting and workflow development & documentation.
