The Department of Psychiatry at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago are seeking a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. This position is intended for a child and adolescent psychiatrist who will join a multidisciplinary child and adolescent psychiatry department in a nationally ranked, freestanding children’s hospital located on the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine campus.
Responsibilities include acute care services on the inpatient, partial hospital and intensive outpatient settings and teaching duties, as well as shared coverage of other clinical services. Scholarly activity is expected.
Qualified candidates will have experience and excelled in teaching and a commitment to participating in an academic medical center environment. Crisis evaluation and treatment experience (ideally pediatric hospital-based) and board certified or eligible in child and adolescent psychiatry required. Fluency in Spanish would be a plus. Hiring is contingent upon eligibility to work in the United States and licensure in Illinois. Licensure in Illinois and Lurie Children’s medical staff membership are required before starting work.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Full-time position. Start date immediate after licensure in Illinois and credentialing. Applications will be evaluated as received. The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
