SBIRT Training Develop curriculum for behavioral health/addiction and public health professionals using research and current evidence-based SBIRT findings. Design training materials for a broad interdisciplinary audience (including international) and deliver trainings with fidelity. Provide technical/clinical support for SBIRT implementation or training competency.
Prevention Workforce Development Training Deliver trainings (with fidelity) an extensive portfolio of public health/prevention/behavioral health oriented curriculums. Manage and update current training curriculum for behavioral health/addiction and public health professionals using research and current evidence-based findings.
General Foster relationships with community partners for sustainable public health collaborations. Manage logistics with community partners to schedule, plan and implement trainings. Construct training and competency based evaluations using Qualtrics.
Examine training processes provide feedback for on-going efficiency and quality improvement. Work on a team and collaborate on other trainings as needed. Maintain expertise through completion of professional development (SBIRT, MI, Mental Health) and seek additional credentials in areas needed to facilitate trainings (licensure, certification, etc).
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in public health, counseling, social work, education or other areas in human services and two years of training experience.
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Experience implementing SBIRT or training in SBIRT
Mental health background or interest in mental health
Mental health treatment
Competency in Motivational Interviewing
Experience with Motivational Interviewing coding
Master’s degree in public health, counseling, social work, education or other areas in human services. Five years of training and/or clinical experience.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Must be able to drive long distances or travel in various modes of transportation. Must be able to stand for extensive lengths of time (up to 8 hours in a given day). Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in training materials.
