The CFEC Project Manager, under the supervision of the Project Director, will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the CFEC.
Job duties include:
Assist the Project Director in developing tools to guide CFEC Regional Liaisons and staff in providing capacity-building training and technical assistance in family engagement to school districts, schools, teachers, families, and community-based organizations; conducting focused outreach to families with low incomes, English language learners, minorities, students with disabilities, homeless children and youth, children and youth in foster care, and migrant students; developing CFEC organizational and administrative practices and procedures; managing the CFEC budget, contracts with grant partners and service providers, and the grant invoice review, approval and payment process; and assist with meeting all U.S. Department of Education and UofSC grant compliance and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular literature reviews to identify evidence-based family engagement programs and practices and deliver that information in easy-to-understand language and formats to CFEC field staff, educators, families, and community-based organizations. Continually identify and disseminate information to CFEC stakeholders about existing resources available to meet a broad range of student academic achievement and developmental needs.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the CFEC leadership team, Regional Liaisons, Specialists, Partners, Advisory Council members, and stakeholders. Facilitate ongoing two-way communication among these groups using a variety of communication methods. Identify additional potential partners and supporters, sources of funding, and other supports for CFEC.
Coordinate logistics of CFEC events throughout the state including meetings, trainings, webinars, conferences, and presentations. Assist in preparation of print and electronic materials for CFEC-related events (e.g. handouts, PowerPoint slides, etc.). Facilitate meetings and deliver presentations and trainings on behalf of CFEC as needed and /or as the opportunity arises.
Create written content for a regular CFEC newsletter, social media sites, and website. Maintain and update CFEC data.
