Coordinates and monitors the day-to-day operations of the Undergraduate Studies Program for the English Department, which offers four distinct tracks serving over 500 majors. Performs all administrative duties for the Undergraduate Studies Office associated with advisement, course scheduling, and student services. Acts as primary academic advisor for new incoming students and coordinates all advising, scheduling, and registration needs for all English majors and minors. Maintains current records for all English majors along with data on undergraduate courses and course outcomes. Serves as primary contact for students, faculty, all university offices and departments, and the general public. Provides information in response to email, telephone, and walk-in inquiries regarding procedures for applying to major and minor programs, requirements, courses offered, and registration. Advises the Director, the Undergraduate Committee, and other administrators on departmental statistics, matters related to enrollment, student service programs, policies and procedures. Works in conjunction with the Undergraduate Program Director on development and recruitment, assessment and evaluation, awards, special programs and initiatives.
