Rutgers University-Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking Non-Credit Teaching Coadjutants through the Academic Foundations Center. The duties include but are not limited to the following;
Teaching middle school, high school and/or undergraduate students in a specific field of expertise (math, English, science, STEM, creative arts, elective, or other academic/specialized content area)
Developing and managing the class syllabus and ensuring that the syllabus meets the program standards
Planning, creating, and implementing lectures, in-class discussions, labs, and assignments
Grading assigned papers, quizzes, and exams
Assessing grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments, examinations, and/or other grading rubrics
Reporting student learning outcomes, class reviews, and/or analyzing student data
Collaborating with colleagues on course curriculum, assignments, and activities
Attending faculty, program, or other mandatory meetings, trainings, and orientations
Other duties as assigned based on program
Time Period: June – September 2019 Programs seeking Coadjutants: Educational Opportunity Fund Program (EOF), Rutgers Future Scholars (RFS), Upward Bound (UB), Cooperman College Scholars (CCS), Talent Search (TS), Student Support Services (SSS), and McNair Scholars Program.

Minimum Education and Experience:
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Candidates must have a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in the subject area.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Light lifting may be required.
