The H. We are seeking a dynamic Diversity and Inclusion Program Specialist to join the team. In this role, you will play a critical part in assuring an equitable, diverse and inclusive academic environment at Heinz College. You will provide assistance in developing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating creative programs that support inclusivity, diversity, equity, social change, and identity consciousness. You will help organize and support efforts driven by the Director and advisory committee.
Core responsibilities include:
Facilitating and scheduling programming for students, faculty, staff and community partners
Coordinating diversity related educational workshops, programs, and events
Providing support for students and student organizations through one on one and group mentoring, leadership development, and organizational support
Tracking relevant and focused data to determine and build regular reports
Participating in the Center's annual strategic development process
Providing recommendations essential to the success of the dynamic programs and initiatives
Promoting a phenomenal, expansive and welcoming community space
Representing the college at student driven diversity events and programs
Facilitating workshops for individual girls, afterschool programs, and area schools throughout the region to promote gender equity
Providing general support and assistance to the Director

Demonstrate strong special event planning and execution skills
Bachelor's in social work, public policy, non-profit management or similar with field placement and significant research specifically in Social Work or Public Policy or Nonprofit Management
1-3 years of relevant work experience
Ability to attain clearances to work with youth (e.g. able to attain Act 153 Clearance upon hire).
