The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Regulatory Coordinator. The incumbent will be responsible for the regulatory and administrative support of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Program. The incumbent will work independently, receiving and distributing information from/to researchers, IACUC members, and other faculty and staff, in the University of Pittsburgh research community. Specific duties will include writing and proofreading letters and other communications to outside regulatory agencies, accreditation agencies and other educational institutions in the United States and abroad; evaluating and managing documentation regarding collaborative research projects between investigators at the University and other institutions and IACUC protocol administration. The incumbent will also be responsible for phone and email communications and light record maintenance. Familiarity with a web browser, as well as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel are critical. This position involves extensive contact with the research community at the University and other institutions; as such, the incumbent must be able to demonstrate competence in oral and written professional communications.
Baccalaureate Degree - One year of relevant experience. Excellent writing and communication skills are critical. Knowledge of IACUC function would be helpful. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel and Outlook especially).
