Job Duties 80% - Biomedical Research: Perform experiments independently to define neurotoxic properties of alpha-synuclein aggregates obtained from tissue sources. Use mouse models of alpha-synuclein pathology, cell culture models (cell lines and primary neuronal cell), biochemical and biophysical approaches. In addition to experiments, duties will include data analysis.
15% - Literature review and manuscript preparation.
5% - Lab meeting presentation and preparation of progress report.
Required Qualifications: PhD in biomedical/biochemical sciences related to neurodegenerative diseases.
Preferred Qualifications Experience working with alpha-synuclein protein. Experience with cell biology or biophysical approaches for analyzing alpha-synuclein.
Publication record to include at least 2 first author papers in top journals in the field
