The Department of Medicine is seeking general internists to serve as Instructors/Chief Residents in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota.
These positions will have educational, administrative and clinical duties, as determined by the Program Directors, in either the Internal Medicine Residency Program, Med-Peds Residency Program or Global Health Program.
The clinical duties will involve attending on the Internal Medicine teaching and/or non-teaching services at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. These duties may include evening, overnight and weekend responsibilities.
Educational responsibilities will include teaching of medical students and residents. In addition, there are opportunities to participate in quality improvement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and other scholarly activities.

--MD degree. --Board eligibility or board certification in Internal Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics. --Trained as a resident in the University of Minnesota Internal Medicine Residency or Med-Peds Residency Programs. --Demonstrated excellence in patient care. --Demonstrated enthusiasm for medical education and strong teaching skills. --Must have or be able to attain a medical license in the state of MN. --Must be able to pass credentialing at all applicable sites.
