Job duties and responsibilities for this full-time, 9 month position include: Providing leadership for all aspects of field education in the Department of Social Work, managing the field education programs for the department of Social Work, and teaching and supervision of students in the Field Seminar course.
Salary range: $43,000 - $45,000.
Required Qualifications: -Master of Social Work degree -3 years of social work practice at the MSW level -Currently licensed as a social worker, either in the state of Minnesota or eligible to apply for Minnesota licensure -Ability to travel within the Duluth area and to greater Minnesota locations -Outstanding written and oral communication skills -Active commitment to fostering diversity across campus, the social work curriculum, and the social work department
Preferred Qualifications: -Experience as a field instructor of graduate and/or undergraduate social work students -Experience teaching in an academic social work department -Strong problem-solving skills -Experience in organizational planning and evaluation in a social service setting -Knowledge of Duluth-Superior and state-wide social services -Familiarity with undergraduate/graduate social work curriculum and how field instruction is integrated in the curriculum -Strong organizational and managerial skills -Strong problem-solving skills -Administrative and management experience in a social work setting -Experience in assisting in the development and implementation of an educational or training curriculum -Demonstrated commitment in working with diverse populations and organizations -Experience with electronic and online information management
