Provide administrative and clerical support related to the university's accounts payable systems and processes. Assist with accounts payable accounting reconciliations.
Typically a High School diploma. AA degree or some college preferred. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
Minimum 3 years administrative or bookkeeping experience. Accounts payable experience preferred.
General knowledge of applicable accounts payable best practices, tax laws, and accounting practices and principles.
Works well in a fast-paced, demanding environment; ability to effectively interact with staff/faculty regarding areas of responsibilities; quickly learn the University procedures and processes: resolve problems quickly.
Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral).
Highly developed organizational and leadership skills.
Demonstrated computer competency and preferably knowledgeable of relevant systems. General knowledge in automated accounts payable systems. Concur and/or Oracle experience is a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
