The Administrative SupportAssistant III provides administrative support to faculty and staff in theDepartment of Family Medicine. This position coordinates schedules forObservership Program students, dental residents, medical exploration students,and Geriatric/Palliative Care and Family Medicine rotation's medical students.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answers main academic phone line and takes messages or transfers calls, as necessary.
Types dictation for faculty.
Assists faculty with typing of papers and PowerPoint presentations.
Provides daily mail pick up and distribution.
Processes travel requests for faculty.
Orders office supplies and paper weekly.
Coordinates the orientation process with the Graduate School of Medicine.
Creates schedules for students and prepares handbook, activity calendar, and lecture schedules for students.
Schedules faculty for medical student lectures.
Schedules preceptors in the community to work with rotating medical students.
Prepares and collects evaluations for observership students, dental residents, medical exploration students, and Geriatric/Palliative and Family Medicine rotation students.
Performs other duties as assigned.
