The Clinical Research Assistant II will work as part of the Boston Center for Endometriosis research team. Studies range from clinical trials to epidemiological studies and work is done in collaboration with a team of Research Assistants. This position requires spending time in our research laboratory, medical settings (outpatient clinic, operating room, research clinic rooms), and office. The ideal candidate is able to discuss sensitive topics about young women's health, navigate a fast-paced medical environment, provide quality patient interactions, and multitask effectively. Attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to work as a team are essential in this role.
This Clinical Research Assistant II will be responsible for:
Recruitment and enrollment of research subjects, both adolescents and adults.
Handling and processing of biological specimens (blood, urine, saliva, tissue).
Contributing to daily upkeep of a research biorepository, including large aliquot projects.
Maintenance of an established research participant cohort through patient contact in person, over email, and on the phone.
Contributing to study newsletters, website, and social media presence.
Data entry, cleaning, and analysis with support from biostatistician.
Communication with IRB and FDA regarding ongoing and new research protocols.
Assistance with literature reviews, as well as manuscript and presentation preparation.
To qualify, you must have:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year of relevant work experience.
Interest in adolescent health and gynecology/women's health.
Exceptional organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
Experience working as part of a team, and desire to work collaboratively with peers.
Ability to take initiative and work with minimal direct supervision.
