Under the direction of the VP of Academic Affairs and Student Services, this position provides administrative oversight and supervision primarily to arts and sciences general education offerings on both campuses of Ridgewater College. Align division and program goals with the college's academic and strategic plan and the system's strategic directions (established by the Board of Trustees). Work collaboratively to create and implement continuous improvement initiatives to grow enrollment and expand quality learning opportunities for students.
College level classroom teaching experience.
Willingness to participate in activities supporting a culture of continuous improvement in all collegiate areas.
Excellent interpersonal communication, human relations, conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
Demonstrate a knowledge of and interest in diverse cultures and populations.
Ability to travel (20%).
Must have a valid driver's license.
Faculty or administrative experience with Ridgewater College or within the Minnesota State system.
Graduate degree in an academic area within the division.
Supervisory experience in a union environment.
Understanding of and commitment to the mission of a comprehensive community college.
A collaborative leadership style.
Experience with a variety of pedagogical and technological educational delivery methods.
