The Student Experience Coordinator is responsible for providing excellence in forward facing and online service to prospective and current students, managing office communication and independently responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating prospective student events and campus tours for the Office of Admissions. Will receive logistical support and input from the area supervisors and admissions counselors to manage information sessions, open house programs, admitted student days, and additional programming as needed to support prospective student recruitment efforts.
• Work closely with the Director on strategic development and implementation of a campus visitation program including daily visitation, integration with school/college visitor programming, creative development and implementation of large campus visit days and group visits from schools and organizations. • Liaison with faculty, staff, food services and facilities management in coordination of these events. Will work with a team of admission staff members to ensure visitors develop a positive first impression of the University. • Coordinate the advertisement to, selection and training of students for Student Ambassador Program. Responsible for the daily coordination of coverage for admissions presentations and campus tours by ambassadors. • Manage execution of logistics for events, information sessions, campus preview days, admitted student days, etc. including facility selection, room reservations, contract negotiations, menu selection, and arrangement for A/V service. Attendance at all admissions events is mandatory. Some evening and weekend work is required. Maintains tour/events calendar. • Performs welcome duties such as greeting visitors, answering Admissions inquiries and emails, screening incoming calls, routing incoming telephone calls and mail and manages all social media handles. • Manages the design and content of Admissions marketing material in conjunction with the Director of Communications. • Maintains stock of office supplies, including monitoring of inventory and re-ordering as required. • Performs any other duties assigned by the Director of Admissions.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must have strong management and interpersonal skills. Must possess computer skills and the ability to communicate effectively; both orally and in writing, with varied constituencies including prospective students, parents, secondary school personnel, alumni, faculty and other staff. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in Admissions and Recruitment at a college or university and experience coordinating a campus tour program preferred.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently, yet seek and appreciate the benefits of working on a managed team of admissions professionals using a systemized approach to recruitment and admission.
