The Department of Nanoengineering at Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering of North Carolina A&T State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the interdisciplinary fields of Nanobio processes, bio-additive manufacturing and biomaterial systems and devices.
The candidates must demonstrate evidence of exceptional teaching, scholarly accomplishment, service and funding activity. Candidates are expected to lead high-quality instructional and scholarly research activities, play a major role in the development of academic programs and student advisement, and establish and maintain professional relationships. Candidates are also expected to develop, or have already developed, a nationally and internationally recognized research program in his/her area of expertise in one or more relevant disciplinary areas. The successful candidates will have strong communication skills.
Faculty member will report to the Chair of the Nanoengineering Department in order to carry out its education, research and outreach mission.

Ph.D. in a relevant discipline by the anticipated date of appointment and an outstanding research record. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Applicants who also have research experience or interests in one or more of the current department focus areas of nanomaterials and mechanics, nanobioelectronics, computational nanoengineering, nanoenergy, and nanotoxicity will receive the strongest consideration.
Two years postdoctoral experience preferred.
