Technology Services team member provides comprehensive support for PC-based systems and related resources and services in the College of Pharmacy; configures and prepares new and rebuilt PCs and peripheral equipment; installs, configures, and updates appropriate applications and software; assists and intervenes for customer problem resolution; maintains accurate records of hardware and software assets and licenses; manages and coordinates relevant IT projects from start to completion; assists in local area networks support; prepares and updates documentation pertaining to client workstations and other computing support areas; configures and troubleshoots classroom audio-visual technology and assists faculty and staff in the usage of instructional technologies; acts as the primary workstation/user support for the College's Medication Management Program (MMP), including the creation/deletion of user accounts; ensures compliance with information security and HIPAA training for MMP and other College employees; assists with HIPAA compliance initiatives.
This position requires splitting time between two different offices (College core facilities and MMP/921 Chatham Lane). Transportation between the two offices will be necessary and may include transporting equipment between the two locations intermittently.
Bachelor degree in Computer and Information Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office; experience troubleshooting audio-visual systems and classroom technology; excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills with the ability to take responsibility and ownership of a problem and work independently; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface with customers at all levels of computer proficiency; ability to lift computers and related equipment up to 50 pounds; reliable transportation between work sites including the ability to occasionally transport computer equipment.
Strong knowledge of Apple OSX and iOS; experience working in higher education; experience working in a clinical/HIPAA-covered environment.
Target Salary: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 Annually
