Under the direction of the Consumer Loan and Credit Card Portfolio Manager, has primary responsibility for servicing consumer and credit card loans, providing efficient and timely support and service to HUECU members, consumer lending team members and other HUECU departments.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides support and expertise to other internal departments for troubleshooting member issues.
Conducts quality control reviews of new loans granted and core system changes.
Oversees release of paid loans, notes and liens.
Initiates reimbursement requests.
Tracks loan insurance premiums.
Has primary responsibility for the timely transfer and maintenance of loan documents on imaging software.
Oversees the archiving and/or destruction of aged account documentation in accordance with the Credit Unions records retention policy.
Provides assistance in solving system related problems working directly with internal departments and third-party providers.
Documents member interactions and exceptions and provides feedback to management concerning member issues that affect the organization and helps to develop solutions that improve service delivery on third party platform.
Works effectively with other department managers and staff on various initiatives to continually enhance the member experience.
Processes consumer and credit card applications.
Monitors insurance coverage on loans serviced for members. Oversees timely review and endorsement of insurance claims.
Initiates core system loan data entry setups or corrections.
Maintains working knowledge of credit union loan standards, policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal governmental rules and regulations.
Assists with maintaining loan policy and procedures.
Maintains awareness of and reacts to loan volume levels, incoming phone calls and emails in order to support and assist the team in maintaining HUECU service level standards.
Provides timely retrieval of loan files to internal and external auditors.
Keeps current with all mandatory training.
This position is designated as critical for the Harvard University Employees Credit Union as it provides non-deferrable services that must be performed in the event of an emergency or weather-related closure.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required.

Associate's Degree or related training beyond high school required.
A minimum of two years working experience in a financial, banking and/or customer service environment.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, be well organized and detail oriented.
Customer service skills with the strong ability to resolve customer service issues in a timely manner.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to learn specialized computer systems.
Willing to work additional hours during peak periods including evenings and weekends.
Pass reference and background screenings, including credit, criminal, identity and OFAC checks.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
