The Department of Communications is currently accepting applications for an Administrative Support Assistant III (Program Resource Specialist).
Manage the daily operations of the office, including hiring, scheduling, and supervising 7 student workers.
Serve as primary office receptionist and perform related duties as needed.
Reconcile the budget (operating costs) for multiple departmental accounts monthly, enter invoices for payment, process all financial documents, including reconciling procurement card purchases, and run IRIS reports.
Enter and reconcile payroll in IRIS for student workers, staff/Chair, and for student media workers (Pacer, WUTM).
Provide clerical support for the Chair and 12 other full-time faculty.
Assist with appointments/tours for prospective students and their families.
Participate in outreach initiatives (emails and mail outs).
Maintain all faculty and staff personnel files.
Maintain faculty resumes, Planning and Assessment forms, and course syllabi.
Prepare course evaluations and tests for processing.
Enter and verify class schedules in Banner, making changes as needed.
Prepare all travel authorization/reimbursements for the faculty.
Make reservations for faculty travel and department events.
Provide clerical support for the department's special events.
Process paperwork for all new hires.
Assist with faculty searches.
Provide clerical support for our national reaccreditation process.
Manage all office supplies, order and distribute to the faculty, and maintain the office supply closet.
Assist faculty with course materials and submit textbook orders.
Manage the periodicals inventory.
Update and maintain files and databases of current and prospective students and alumni.
Order and maintain equipment and key inventories.
Attend faculty meetings and provide support for the Chair, as needed.
