Health, Counseling, and Disability Access Services seeking a therapist who will also serve as Group Therapy Coordinator. This individual will be tasked with developing and expanding group therapy programs and psychoeducation efforts on campus.
In addition to the Coordinator role, we are seeking a strong generalist to provide initial assessment; individual and group counseling/therapy; crisis intervention; consultation; outreach and psycho-educational programming; and supervision of clinical graduate interns. We are seeking a professional who is committed to the work of university counseling centers and who wishes to join a dynamic staff seeking ways to better meet the mental health needs of the campus population. The successful candidate will value a multifaceted approach involving strongly linked clinical and training efforts, consultation with the campus, mental health prevention/early intervention, multicultural values/awareness and collaborative campus connections. A minimum of a Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work is necessary. Demonstrated competence to work in a multicultural environment. Some post-degree experience in counseling is necessary. University counseling center experience and Missouri licensure eligibility are highly desirable. The successful candidate must be licensed in the State of Missouri within 18 months of hire if recently graduated and in need of postdoctoral supervision
In addition to qualifications listed for the coordinator role, desirable skills include interest and experience in utilizing a brief therapy model, group therapy, crisis intervention, hospitalization experience and work with more complex cases.
