This Community Resource Coordinator will be responsible for:
Demonstrating clinical inpatient, family education, psychosocial and emotional support expertise for pediatric hematology/oncology patients.
Coordinating/maintaining the One Mission Resource Room (Resource/Lending Library) in conjunction with the Patient Family Educator.
Coordinating and assisting with special events and weekend programs.
Interdisciplinary interactions with nursing, social work and other related departments.
To qualify, you must have:
Knowledge typically acquired through completion of two years of post-high school occupationally specific education or an Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree preferred.
One year or more of experience working with children and families is highly preferred.
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
This is a 20 hour a week benefited position –schedule is weekdays, holidays, and every other Saturday and Sunday from 9am – 7:30pm. The weekday hours will be based on scheduling and programming needs, which is usually on a Wednesday or Thursday.
