This Paralegal II – Litigation – Office of General Counsel will be responsible for:
Developing, implementing, and maintaining administrative programs and systems supporting the litigation functions within the Office of General Counsel (OGC).
Coordinating and administrating the intake, tracking, and general support for litigation matters and providing other support for as needed for the OGC.
Working cooperatively with the Executive Assistant/Paralegal to the General Counsel and with the corporate paralegal.
Implementing administrative programs and systems supporting the litigation functions of the Office of General Counsel.
Developing and maintaining department databases.
Creating and maintaining work flow systems for OGC litigation and pre-litigation matters and related functions.
Coordinating and maintaining relevant litigation support systems, including docket management, pleadings, filings, file management, e-discovery and other systems and case management support.
Providing paralegal support to in-house litigation counsel as necessary, such as entering data relating to the intake of new investigations, pre-litigation and litigation matters, case management, and workflow support systems.
Developing and recommending policies and procedures for administrative operations as they relate to the litigation functions of the OGC.
Maintaining procedures for all written and electronically recorded information.
Identifying system and operational needs of the OGC and creates and/or recommends responsive solutions.
Preparing and responding to legal-related requests; providing discovery assistance to in-house and outside counsel; serving as a liaison between outside counsel and internal stakeholders as appropriate, and serving as liaison between relevant insurers and internal stakeholders as appropriate for initiating claim reporting and management; and providing subpoena responses.
To qualify, you must have:
A Paralegal certificate required, Bachelor's degree preferred, and Five years of experience as a litigation focused paralegal in a general counsel or law firm setting is required.
Demonstrated working knowledge, experience and facility with legal support software and systems, spreadsheets, and other administrative office systems are required.
Paralegal certificate is required.
