The primary purpose of this role is to provide student centered teaching in both didactic and clinical instruction of undergraduate level courses. Faculty in this position will provide student advising, student mentoring and recruitment, curriculum development and conducting scholarly activities. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, engaging in accreditation procedures, program assessment and service to the school, College and University as needed. This is a 9-month position.

Doctorate in nursing or related field by the date of appointment and a Masters in Nursing Education.
Record of research or creative works, teaching and/or professional experience sufficient to merit a tenure track position.
Prior teaching experience in baccalaureate and/or graduate nursing programs or credentials to meet the North Carolina Board of Nursing educational requirement is required.
Record of scholarship (publications/presentations/funding) expected of rank as an Assistant Professor
Three years clinical experience related to the concepts and theories essential in providing nursing care. Community Health/Adult Health specialty preferred
