Delivers prevention / intervention program services. Work evening hours and weekends as needed for program / grant / administrative requirements
Program Delivery. Delivers assigned prevention / intervention programs with quality and fidelity. Implements all programs with trauma-informed practice and excellent customer service. Develops replicable models for non-curriculum based activities, such as alternative activities, drug abuse education, or trauma recovery under direction of the program manager. Maintains good communication and relationships with community sites where programs are delivered. Provides prevention and outreach services to the community as assigned, identifying at-risk individuals. Engages at-risk clients utilizing Motivational Interviewing and strength-based interventions. Gathers relevant information of strengths, needs and current situation. Administers screening assessment tools with fidelity. From interviews with client, information gathered and screening tools, develops comprehensive assessment. Follows up with any needs identified. Evaluates effectiveness of interventions and with client, makes adjustments as needed. Identified high risk situations, intervenes immediately, and consults with supervisor. Uses strengths-based practice. Understand requirements of program according to funding source. Links clients with needed services and continued recovery support. Ensures continuity of care when discharging from services. Adheres to NASW Code of Ethics and Texas Code of Conduct for Social Workers. Supervision on Interns. Supervises assigned interns as Field Instructor or Task Supervisor to ensure compliance with program and School of Social Work Field Office requirements. Program Reports. Gathers accurate information and submits programmatic reports within required timeframes. Performs other duties assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW).
MSW with experience with substance use disorders or substance use prevention; Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) or Advanced Prevention Specialist (APS).
