The Greenblatt research lab in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rutgers is seeking applications for a postdoc associate with experience as solid state material chemist or physicist with a background in synthesis and structural and physical characterization of transition metal compounds (oxides, halides and chalcogenides).
Minimum Education and Experience:
PhD in solid state chemistry or physics.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Synthesis of polycrystalline and single crystal compounds, use of vac line, dry box, thermal equipment, structure determination by x-ray diffraction, physical methods measurements, including electric transport and magnetic measurements.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to work in a solid state laboratory, use high temperature furnaces, vac. line, dry box, x-ray equipment, magnetometer etc....
