ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATOR , School of Engineering-New Engineering Education Transformation (NEET) (part-time, 50%), to be responsible for all academic aspects of the cross-departmental NEET certificate program. NEET was launched in Fall 2017 and has received enthusiastic student response and traction. Will serve as a primary resource on academic issues such as NEET curriculum requirements and curriculum requirements of the majors that form any given NEET thread, scheduling, or other aspects of the program; liaise with faculty, staff, and students from multiple departments; provide reports and statistics; and implement and communicate policies/strategies of the NEET leadership and curriculum teams. Responsibilities include interacting with multiple departments regarding NEET subjects' ability to align with departmental requirements, responding to student inquiries, and serving as a resource and liaison to departmental undergraduate administrators; communicating curricular requirements, approved departmental agreements, and other academic information to students/faculty/staff; reviewing student progress through the program and working with those who may have difficulties; assisting with the program evaluation effort; maintaining student records; and co-coordinating events.
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; five years' experience in a similar position in an academic environment; ability to anticipate and initiate actions regarding academic operations; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; desire to work closely with members of multiple departments to ensure the success of students and the program; proficiency with database management, MS Office, Acrobat Pro, and FileMaker); meticulous attention to detail; initiative and self-motivation; flexibility; and discretion and good judgment with confidential information. Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously; problem solve; and work both independently and collegially as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
