The University of Minnesota Medical School is seeking a child and adolescent psychiatrist for a 75% time, master-clinician track position in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Responsibilities will include the development of an academic program, participation in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, clinical practice through UMPhysicians, and participation in service activities on behalf of the department, the medical school, and your profession.
This position will include clinical duties working in different clinics throughout the metro area including Pediatric Specialty Care Voyager Clinic in Minneapolis and Fairview Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis as well as integrated off-site care locations such as that in Andover.
Faculty are expected to pursue scholarly activities, including publication, in order to fulfill criteria for academic advancement. If the candidate is interested in increasing effort toward academic pursuits, the position will allow for flexible adjustment of clinical effort to balance funded research effort.
The candidate must have a medical doctorate or equivalent degree from an AAMC-accredited program, must have completed a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, must have a medical license or eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota, and must be board-eligible or board-certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Candidates must have some experience teaching, have demonstrated outstanding clinical practice, and have demonstrated a track record of scholarly activity.
