A position is immediately available for a highly motivated Post-doctoral Researcher to investigate molecular mechanisms of viral pathogenesis in non-human primate models of g-herpesvirus infection. This job will join part of a multi-member group focused on viral cancer models, and the individual must be a team player.
Qualified applicants must have a Ph.D., published evidence of productivity, expertise in virology or molecular biology, and strong skills in one or more of the following areas: cell culture, animal models, genetics, cancer biology, computational biology/bioinformatics.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing experiments in the laboratory that include cell culture, flow cytometry, nucleic acid and protein extraction, immunoblotting, PCR, molecular cloning, and single cell sequencing as well as performing data analysis resulting from experiments, assisting in manuscript preparation, and data presentation.
