- An Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology/Therapeutics or equivalent fields, with a substantial background in the basic and translational research area of GI oncology and cancer therapeutics, with an outstanding publication record. - Must have an extensive experience working with patient-derived xenograft, humanized and other tumor models for pre-clinical and co-clinical applications. - Must have more than 5 years of experience working with mice, including but not limited to animal handling, breeding, non-survival/survival surgery, drug treatment, and in vivo imaging. - Have a proven experience in designing and conducting complex research studies independently, be familiar with basic and advanced molecular and cellular techniques to address scientific questions. - Have experience in writing and submitting IACUC, IRB, SRB protocols for animal studies and/or pre-clinical research, developing research protocols, data reports, grants, and peer-reviewed publications/presentations. - Must be familiar with all requirement for working with human and animal subjects, in compliance with HIPAA, IRB, and IACUC standards. - Must be permanent resident or U.S. citizen to be eligible for NIH grants. Successful candidates will be expected to maintain a vigorous research program that addresses fundamental question in the broad field of cancer biology and precision medicine and will be mentored for independent NIH grant.
