Rutgers-The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Associate/Full Professor-Basic Science in the Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine at the Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School located in Newark, New Jersey. This is a full time, tenure track position. The applicant is expected to be nationally recognized and bring in extramural funding with research interests and strength in infection, immunity, and cancer areas to complement and further the Departmental research mission. If appropriate, the potential candidate could be appointed as the Chief, Division of Immunology within the department. The applicant will be encouraged to initiate translational research with the clinical faculty and participate in teaching of the RBHS-Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS). Physician scientists are highly encouraged to apply. Participation in clinical service will be arranged for MD candidates with a board certification. Minimum education and experience: MD, PhD, or MD/PhD. Extramural funding is expected in the research area(s) of infection, immunity, and cancer. Teaching experience is required.
