The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center (formerly Pitt County Memorial Hospital). Vidant Medical Center is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

Candidates must be board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and eligible for or have a certificate of special competence in Maternal Fetal Medicine from the American Board of OB/GYN, have an avowed interested in teaching and research and must be willing to participate in all areas of patient care which are served by the division. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University offers a four-year, fully accredited residency in obstetrics and gynecology. In addition, we provide quality medical student education. The department offers specific expertise in endocrine/infertility, maternal-fetal medicine, urogynecology, and gynecologic oncology. Our clinical volumes include about 3200 deliveries per year, 600-650 maternal transports per year and 200-250 new cases of cancer per year.
