POSITION: Program Coordinator, Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology
LOCATION: Santa Barbara, CA

REPORTS TO: MACP Chair
JOB TYPE: Full-time, Non-exempt
GENERAL SUMMARY: Reporting to the MACP Chair, the Program Coordinator MACP provides primary administrative staff support to the MACP program, program chair and faculty. He/she is responsible for completion of all support tasks related to the program, particularly the maintenance of all of the faculty and student files necessary for accreditation.
Provides administrative coordination and support to the MACP program
Develops and implements academic services procedures and systems to improve the efficiency of the graduate psychology programs
Oversees the program components, maintenance, and development of the academic services database.
Develops procedures for the storage, maintenance and distribution of the program’s instructional materials (e.g. multimedia, books, etc.)
Conducts periodic reviews of website and other program materials to ensure that information is accurate and up-to-date
Coordinates & directs program events, trainings and orientation meetings in conjunction with the MACP team
Completes general office duties and assigns clerical tasks to work-study students
Places orders for instructional supplies and maintains record of expenditures
Provides program support by responding to adjunct and student questions and requests
Helps prepare quarterly schedule and enters information into Academic Services database
Ensures course book order, syllabi, and media requests are submitted by due dates from all instructors
Communicates with adjunct faculty and orients new faculty on the use of e-mail, Sakai, and classroom technology
Builds and maintains accurate files on adjunct faculty credentials, teaching preferences, contact information, instructional history, and availability for the purposes of scheduling courses
Orients new faculty on academic/administrative procedures
Assists Chair with protocols for hiring adjuncts and ensuring that materials are in place
Coordinates efforts with other Academic Services team members
As needed, is available to assist with academic services projects in the MACP Program or other departments
Assist in the maintenance and development of Academic Services databases
Work with IT to coordinate classroom technology needs
Performs other duties as assigned
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Hours of employment: This is a full-time position. A 40-hour per week work schedule will be established in consultation with the MACP Chair.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Salary is DOE. Benefits include medical and dental insurance, paid holidays, sick and vacation leave, life insurance, and retirement plan. May be eligible for tuition benefit after one year of employment.

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution required, preferably in the field of psychology or related field and 3 years’ experience in academic support or administrative experience required. In lieu of bachelor’s degree, high school diploma/GED and 5 years’ of full-time directly related experience in a higher education setting may be substituted. Master’s degree with 1+ years’ experience in a non-profit University setting preferred.
Proficient computer skills, including the use of computer software systems, such as FileMaker Pro, MS Excel, MS Word, and database experience Prior experience with Ellucian (Datatel) Colleague highly sought.
Skilled in time management, the ability to work under the pressure of deadlines with multiple tasks and the ability to prioritize work tasks, work independently, and coordinate a functional area.
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with both internal and external personnel to problem solve and achieve assigned objectives.
Must demonstrate professionalism, be punctual, and observe scheduled office hours.
Ability to work independently, organize, handle detail, follow through on tasks and problem solve with minimal supervision.
Ability to be diplomatic, a good listener, work collaboratively with co-workers, faculty, staff, and students.
Must be able to communicate in a professional manner with staff, students, and faculty and be a contributing member of the Antioch community, representing Antioch in a positive manner to those outside the University.
