Candidate will teach some combination of undergraduate and graduate courses in Business Analytics but should be qualified to teach other MIS courses such as database, programming, systems analysis or networking. Online teaching is probable. Candidates will perform scholarly research leading to publications in the area(s) of specialization as required for tenure, be expected to provide service to the university, community and profession, and other typical services/duties as assigned by the department chair. Excellence in teaching is expected. Appointment is at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor with competitive salary and research support.

A PhD with a concentration in Management Information Systems or related discipline (including but not limited to Data Science or Information Science) from an appropriately accredited institution that satisfies credentialing under SACS guidelines. Candidates with PhD conferred at the time of initial appointment will hold the probationary rank of Assistant Professor. ABD candidates will also be initially appointed with the probationary term rank of Assistant Professor and must have the terminal degree conferred prior to their first reappointment.
