Position Title: Clinical Laboratory Coordinator
Classification Title: PT Regular Staff Non Union

Position Status: Part-Time - Regular
This position is responsible for the overall coordination and organization of the clinical laboratories and private patient rooms on the garden level of the College of Health Professions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(1) Organize laboratory store rooms and supplies. (2) Manage and order laboratory supplies. (3) Schedule laboratories and private rooms. (4) Keep laboratories and private rooms tidy. This includes keeping exam tables and stools clean, replacing both cloth and disposable exam table sheets and making sure the labs are in order and doors are locked at the end of the day. (5) Coordinating laundry service (6) Setting up laboratory simulation for PA faculty as needed. (7) Assist with video capture of student performance (8) Meet with students as faculty request to review videos. (9) Supervise open laboratory practices (10) Post notices on bulletin boards (11) Set up and take down of laboratories and private exam rooms for practical exams (12) Other duties as assigned
Education (Minimum/Preferred): A high school diploma or GED
Experience (Minimum/Preferred): Up to six months experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Self directed, dynamic individual
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.
Ability to work independently and demonstration of high-level of commitment to program success required.
Computer literacy required
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks.
Knowledge of healthcare system and understanding of the role of Physician Assistants within inpatient and outpatient settings
Job requires repetitive lifting of light weight objects with frequent bending and stooping, or repetitively lift average weight objects where frequent bending or stooping alternates with lighter activities. Occasionally lifts heavy objects (over 50 pounds).
Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.

Salary/Pay Information: $14.09/hour minimum
Anticipated Schedule: 20 hours per week. Exact schedule TBD depending on candidate availability and program needs, but will fall between 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Monday-Friday.
