The Wan Lab at the Bond Life Sciences Center is seeking a Post Doctoral Fellow in Computational Biology
Function: Perform Computational Biology and Systems Biology Research
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to development and/or application of computational algorithms to predict phenotypes (e.g. antigenicity, replication ability, receptor binding preference, transmission risks, and pathogenesis risks) of influenza viruses using genomic sequences, phylogenetic analyses of influenza viruses, and documentation and publication of project results. S/he will be expected to work closely with other lab members to acquire phenotypic data and validate the computational findings.

This position requires a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Virology, Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Infectious Diseases, or a related field. US citizenship is not required. Basic programming skills are required. Prior experience in machine learning is preferred but not required. The position is funded for three years with the second and third year contingent upon success in the prior year.
