Advertised Summary Job Description: The Program Manager will support programs and events established by the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Development in the College of Dental Medicine. These initiatives seek to enhance and facilitate the careers of faculty through mentorship groups, seminars, workshops and other events. The incumbent's duties include: -Assisting with the development, coordination and execution of faculty programming, under the oversight of the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Development in the College of Dental Medicine. -Developing and maintaining communication efforts, such as e-blasts and pertinent websites, for the office and its programs. -Providing day to day operational support for the College of Dental Medicine Office of Faculty Development including correspondence, monitoring budget, purchasing and accounts payable, and other tasks as needed. -Organize and coordinate multiple events and meetings including venues, food, speaker needs and all related details. -Providing administrative support to the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Development at the College of Dental Medicine -Other duties as assigned. The Manager must be detail-oriented, remain calm under pressure, work in a fast-paced environment, and coordinate multiple projects with competing priorities. Must be highly organized with excellent follow-up skills. The incumbent must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively, take a proactive approach to projects and anticipate needs. Must have flexibility to work extended hours when required.
General Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experience.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: -Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are required. -Demonstrated day to day office/departmental skills required. -Good writing skills required. -Proficiency with MS Office required. -Experience with online communications required.
Preferred Qualifications: -Experience with event planning and coordination preferred. -Experience working within an academic institution preferred. -Master's degree preferred. -Experience supporting training and development initiatives preferred. -Experience evaluating programs preferred.
