The Department of Leadership Studies and Adult Education in the College of Education at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University invites applications for a tenure-track, nine month position at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor as defined by the North Carolina A&T State University Faculty Handbook. The successful applicant will be expected to assume a central role in teaching doctoral level quantitative research, statistics, as well as advising doctoral candidates, and pursuing a very productive research and scholarly agenda. The department seeks a dynamic, collaborative, and creative scholar-practitioner committed to quality teaching, student success, university and community service.
Responsibilities 1.Teach quantitative and qualitative research methods and other graduate-level courses as assigned 2.Design, teach and facilitate small and large group experiential learning activities in a blended learning environment 3.Participate in dissertation advisement and serve on dissertation committees 4.Contribute to the scholarly enterprise of the doctoral program, the College of Education, and the University community 5.Procure extramural grant funding, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and conduct presentations at state, regional, national, and international professional conferences 6.Attend department, college, and university faculty meetings 7.Serve on department, college, and university committees and participate in other activities as assigned 8.Remain current in theory and practice related to program content 9.Support community engagement activities

This program is designed for individuals with proven leadership backgrounds across various disciplines who desire to conduct leadership research and inquiry within the discipline area. This program aligns with the vision and mission of the College of Education, which is a learning centered organization that prepares exemplary educators, counselors and leaders who transform the communities they serve by solving systemic issues that impact students, schools and organizations across North Carolina, the nation and around the world. An earned doctorate in interdisciplinary leadership studies, business or organizational management, a STEM discipline, health science, higher education, or educational research methodology or closely related discipline from an accredited university. Previous experience teaching quantitative research methodology to graduate candidates, particularly doctoral candidates, at an accredited four-year institution of higher education. A record of scholarly productivity commensurate with the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
We seek a colleague with: -Demonstrated experience providing high quality instruction to graduate candidates -A proven record of chairing and/or serving on dissertation or thesis committees -A demonstrated record of scholarly productivity commensurate with an appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor -Manuscript publications in top-tier peer-reviewed journals -Evidence for procurement of extramural funding and presentations facilitated at well-respected professional meetings and conferences -Demonstrated expertise in quantitative research methodology -Knowledge of pertinent theories and practices as they relate to program content -Proven ability to use adult learning strategies in both face-to-face and virtual settings -The ability to work with diverse adult populations
