Position performs secretarial duties for a department.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transcribes and types various documents such as memos, letters, abstracts, and reports, using varied computer based software and office equipment.
Copies various reports and sends to appropriate sources.
Prepares and takes transcription for meetings and conferences.
Answers phones and acts as receptionist when necessary.
Delivers materials such as reports to various departments.
Picks up packages/letters from mail room and run errands.
Equivalent of High School diploma with 2 years related experience.
Experience in university/medical environment.
Possess excellent written and computer skills: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to handle information with high degree of confidentiality.
Abitlity to take initiative, anticipate scheduling needs and work independently, while also succeeding in a team environment.
Resourcefullness and good problem solving skills.
Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
Excellent organization, and communication skills.
Ability to anticipate scheduling conflicts, quickly learn new tasks, and help solve problems.
The hiring range for this position is $14.03 - $17.53 per hour.
