The University of Iowa College of Nursing seeks applicants with a strong foundation of teaching in an undergraduate pre-licensure program and incorporates active learning strategies. Instructional track faculty provide intensive teaching in classes and clinical practicums. The faculty positions in the undergraduate program are nine-month appointments in (non-tenure) instructional ranks of Lecturer and/or Associate Professor of Instruction. Part time positions are 50% effort or greater.
Faculty positions for the undergraduate programs are available in the following areas:
Medical-Surgical - Practicum (part time position)
Mental Health - Didactic and practicum (50% - 100% position)
Pediatrics - Practicum (50% - 100% position)
Areas of teaching expertise of particular interest include:
Medical-Surgical Nursing (practicum)
Mental Health (didactic and practicum)
Teaching with active learning strategies including simulation
