Job Summary/Basic Function: The Department of Communication is seeking a Visiting Instructor who can fulfill a dual role as a content coordinator and website manager for the Lamar University Media Alliance (LUMA) as well as teach 2-3 classes per seamster for the Department of Communication. This person will add experience and expertise complements that of our existing faculty and whose new perspectives will add depth and richness to our discussions of curriculum revision and departmental strategic planning. Responsibilities of the Visiting Instructor will include teaching communication courses such as Media Writing, Feature Writing, News Writing and Gathering, and Desktop Publishing as well as others. Teaching load is four courses a semester with a course release to serve as a content coordinator and website manager for the LUMA.
