Rider University’s Development Office invites applications for an Assistant Director of Annual Giving who will work collaboratively with the Annual Giving team, under the direction of the Senior Director of Development, to achieve Rider University's overall Annual Fund (unrestricted dollars) goal and to grow donor participation among various constituencies. This individual will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting new individual prospects. Additionally, the Assistant Director will help to coordinate fundraising/stewardship events for donors, and attends performances, events, and other activities that promote the advancement of the Annual Fund at Rider University.
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree. A minimum of two years of Development (or related) work experience is preferred. Additional qualifications include: self-starter who is driven to exceed goals; excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills; the ability to work independently while functioning as part of the University Advancement team; superior ability to work effectively with a wide range of people; understanding of information management with proficiency in manipulating, retrieving, and analyzing data from relational database and a command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel); strong analytical, organizational and planning skills; understanding of confidentiality and ethics; and ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed. Knowledge of and experience with Raiser's Edge is a plus.
