The Division of DBP in the Department of Pediatrics at Boston University School of Medicine/Boston Medical Center is seeking to fill an immediate full time academic position in urban Boston MA for the medical director of the Child Protection team. Candidates should possess a MD/DO and be BC/BE in Child Abuse Pediatrics.
The position will be full time and will include call coverage.
Responsibilities will include:
Leadership of the Child Protection Team which includes medical providers and social workers. The Medical Director will help create the strategic plan for growing and supporting the clinical services provided in our high risk safety net hospital as well as BACO (Boston Accountable Care Organization).
Provision of clinical care and services as part of the Child Protection Team, including consultation in all clinical areas of the hospital, follow up care, case management, phone coverage of community health center partners, weekly multi-disciplinary case review, and participation in the on-call rotation on evenings and weekends.
Lead and coordinate clinical meetings/supervision/coordination for the team as well as coordinate hospital wide training and services in child abuse pediatrics
Lead resident and medical student education.
Divisional and Departmental responsibilities, such as attending appropriate meetings and conferences, educating medical students and residents, and participating in selected committees.
Candidates should possess a MD/DO and be BC/BE in Child Abuse Pediatrics.
